Mr. Ankur Agarwal

Council Member Biography

Ankur Agarwal is a member of technical staff at Spansion, a former subsidiary of Advanced Micro Devices specializing in flash memories. He has authored patents in process technology. He specializes in dielectric etch and advanced etch process development and is experienced in developing new etch processes for critical semiconductor modules and applications. He is responsible for working with manufacturing fabs in transferring next generation technology from research to a production environment. He is experienced in managing semiconductor capital equipment purchases for 200mm and 300mm etch tools. He is knowledgeable in capital equipment purchase, 200mm and 300mm silicon wafers trends, semiconductor investment trends and technology trends in flash, DRAM memory and microprocessors. His Master's research was in the area of mechanical properties of thin films. He has been an intern at hard disk drive companies including Quantum, now Seagate and IBM Storage.
