Council Member Biography

Doug Bonner is a Telecommunications Partner at SONNENSCHEIN, NATH & ROSENTHAL, LLP in Washington, D.C. He is a former Co-Chair of the Firm's Communications and Media Practice, and also Chaired the Telecommunications Practice at LeBoeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae, LLP. Mr. Bonner has seventeen years' experience representing telecommunications providers in the federal courts, before the FCC and state commissions, and in arbitration proceedings. His cases have established precedent, including before federal appellate courts and the FCC. He is a recognized authority on carrier competitive issues relating to the Telecommunications Act of 1996, whether wireless, wireline or VoIP providers. Mr. Bonner also counsels clients negotiating commercial agreements for voice and data services. He has been recognized by Chambers USA as a Leading Telecom Lawyer in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
