Luciano Mule'Stagno, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the University of Malta Institute for Energy Technology. In this new position, he would be devoting his full attention to monitor existing and promising new technologies and how they might be applied in practice. He would also be setting up a research program in solar energy. He was formerly the CEO of Heritage Malta, the national agency for cultural heritage, museums and conservation. He is also a technical consultant with polysilicon, wafer, solar and equipment manufacturers. He has over 12 years of experience in the industry. Until Dec. 2006, he was the Director of Worldwide Labs at MEMC. Dr. Mule'Stagno is an expert on various aspects of solar technology and market, defects in silicon, silicon characterization equipment and defect detection and etching techniques. He follows the technical and commercial developments of key silicon and thin-film solar companies. He has published over 25 technical papers and eight patents. (This is me - Update Profile)
