Nazir Ahmad is president of GivingWorks Inc., a small firm providing strategic advice to a number of influential public service entities, including UNICEF, the World Bank, AARP, the Bipartisan Policy Center, and the Soros Foundations Network. Mr. Ahmad is also a Principal Consultant at Brand Value Advisors, a brand consultancy firm specializing in advising Private Equity, M&A, Hedge Funds and VC on marketing issues in due diligence, monetizing new revenue streams, research, and marketing operational issues. Prior to GivingWorks, he was a partner of Strategic Decisions Group where he led the strategic marketing and innovation practice areas. Mr. Ahmad’s corporate consulting assignments were global in scope and spanned several industries in the midst of significant change: automotive, education, energy, financial services, forestry, communications, real estate, computers, distribution systems, and consumer products. At the onset of the dotcom era, he led a joint team from NASA, Stanford University, FCC, and other leading companies to design alternative scenarios for the future of multi-media, and their implications in the way we would live, work, earn, and play. Mr. Ahmad serves on advisory boards of the Decision Education Foundation and the Amherst College Center for Community Engagement. He is also an advisor to the Giving Circles Network and to the United Movement to End Child Soldiering. He holds a BA and MA from Amherst College and a MBA from Stanford University.
