P. S. Bami is an independent consultant providing advisory services on power sector reforms, utility management and power development in India. Mr. Bami is a former Chairman and Managing Director of NTPC, a power generating company in India and fourth largest in Asia. Currently, he is President of India Energy Forum, a think tank in the energy sector including most energy companies and energy experts in power, coal, petroleum, nuclear and renewable energy field.He was also Adviser (Power)Government of Orissa, India. He has more than 28 years of experience in planning, reorganizing and developing structures as well as systems and procedures, developing financial management systems, and organizing tariff formulation and tariff agreements of power utilities. He is a Board Member of Strategic Management Group, India a recognized independent body of experts in management and economic field.
