Over 1.2 million "3D Ready" TV's were sold in the US alone in 2008, coming from Mitsubishi, Samsung, and others according to CEDIA (Consumer Electronics Dealers association)... what we have been waiting for is something that would play the content. I have seen it... it is here... it works well. I want one!

Redbox Sues Studio Over Access to Films | online.wsj.com

At the beginning of August several studios began stating that Redbox which is owned by Coinstar will not be allowed to access DVDs for rental until 30 days after the initial release. Statements from 20th Century Fox and Universal Studios Home Entertainment site the lower rental costs through Redbox kiosks and the increased number of used DVDs in the market has an effect on sales and the studios quality image.
